Manifesta 9 reverberations

On saturday September 22 we have a special performance in store for our visitors.

We all interpret art, culture and heritage with our own set of tools. In the framework of our community projects we have been working with a cappella choir 'sterremix' from Maastricht to think about how to use music as a tool for interpreting an exhibition. Under the the guidance of conductor Joyce van Zandvoort and in cooperation with Manifesta 9 Art Mediator Niels Klerkx the members have been working on connecting the worlds of music and art. Inspiration was found in the exhibited objects and artworks, the space of the exhibition and the acoustics of the old mine building.

The choir will pop up in the Mijndepot and in the rest of the exhibition during the open tours of 11 and 14.
