Family Day August 15

Manifesta 9 is a great outing for kids, parents and grandparents, this is true every day of the week, but even more so during one of our four special Manifesta 9 Family Wednesdays. Join us for a day filled with art, performances, workshops and many more activities for children and adults from 6 to 106 years old to explore together.

A new look at nature

During our fourth and final Family Day, man and his natural environment take center stage. Since time began man has been confronted with nature, sometimes violent, sometimes in a harmonious way. Through industrialization, this ratio has changed significantly, including by underground mining. Join us on a wonderful quest for the ancient forests of the Carboniferous, the underground strata and geological shifts, fossils and petrified iguanodons.

Rediscover the dark matter of coal and admire the ins and outs of the ant colony. Be guided through the natural wealth of the mining area around Waterschei. And finally, you can create your own ideal environment!
