4x9 Stories: this weekend

Each weekend the Manifesta 9 Mediation Department invites a number of special guests who give guided tours based on their own expertise. Whether it be a sociologist or a musician, a cook or a football player, one of our curators or one of the neighbours of our venue; each tour provides a new perspective on the exhibition.

Our guests this weekend / your hosts are: 

Saturday July 7:  Jeanne Schreurs, teacher and director for 38 years of the kindergarten section of the Sint-Jansschool. The Sint-Jansschool was comissioned by the coalmine of Waterschei and saw many generations of miners, their children and their children's children come thought it's doors for the past hunderd years. 

Sunday July 8: Michaël Verheyden, designer from Genk. Part of a bright new generation of design from the region of Limburg. Passionate about rock music, but probably also inspired by silence, winner of Wallpaper design award.
